Prometheus is a titan of Greek mythology who created humans from clay. Later, he stole fire from the gods for them and brought it to the people suffering from the cold on a fennel stalk, despite Zeus's prohibition. In addition, Prometheus also tricked Zeus into choosing the weakest piece from the bull sacrifice required of humans.
Zeus took revenge by sending Pandora with the box to Prometheus. The chest was supposed to contain a gift from the gods, but instead of miracles there was something else. Prometheus wondered at the interest of an incredibly beautiful woman and did not marry Pandora. She was married by Prometheus' brother, Epimetheus, who in doing so brought plagues such as disease into the world.
In the end, Zeus chained Prometheus to a rock, where an eagle pecked at his liver every day, which always grew back to its former size at night. Hercules killed the Eagle and freed Prometheus after about 30 years of captivity.
Prometheus means "forward-thinking" and Epimetheus "backward-thinking".

The e-book can be purchased by selecting the desired book from the bookstore's E-books menu and following the given purchase and payment instructions. Please pay attention! Each user should make his own order so that the E-book is profiled just for her/him. If you order several books, you can use the ‘Additional Information’ field to enter the names of the persons.
The e-book is paid for with a purchase via the online bank with a bank or credit card. Prices are determined according to the price list valid at the time of order. Use the Additional information field to indicate a possible campaign ID.
E-book delivery
The e-book is delivered electronically to the customer after payment. The delivery method is to send the file to the customer's email. The sender's e-mail address is asiakaspalveluATprometheuskustannus.fi.
The name of the file to be downloaded is the name of the work and the file's unique number added by the publisher.
As a general rule, the E-books of PROMETHEUS cost only to have the right to read, i.e. there is no right to print or copy the text.
Delivery terms for E-books
Using the e-book and the necessary hardware
The PROMETHEUS electronic publications are only intended for the customer's own use. The customer does not have the right to fully or partially copy, resend, publicly present or use publications other than within the limits permitted by a separate agreement, these or other applicable contract terms and copyright law.
Downloading and using electronic publications requires suitable equipment, computer programs and communication connections, which the customer must arrange himself. The use of these may result in various data transfer and other charges in accordance with the customer's subscription and other agreements. The customer is responsible for these fees. The customer is responsible for the protection of his own computer, information system or other device.
Cancellation or refund
The customer does not have the right to cancel or return electronic publications ordered from the online store as they are digital files. The absence of the right of cancellation and return is a limitation according to the Consumer Protection Act.
Conservation
The customer is responsible for keeping the electronic publication. PROMETHEUS cost can change the selection of the online store without prior notice and at the same time remove the previously purchased publication from the selection. Because of this, it is recommended to save it immediately upon ordering. However, we try to help, and if the book is in the selection, we may be able to renew it. Please contact our customer service in this case.
Copyrights
The copyright of the online store and the publications ordered from it, as well as other intellectual property rights, belong to PROMETHEUS and/or third parties.
Technical protection (watermarking) is used to protect copyrights and mark content, the functionality of which is the responsibility of the technical protection provider. The purpose of protection is to prevent illegal use and copying of the content. With protection, it is possible to limit, even prevent, the legal use of the content, for example by limiting the number of pages to be copied in quantity and time, and by limiting the taking of clips to the clipboard.
The customer does not have the right to remove protections. Removing protection and the unauthorized use it enables leads to criminal liability according to the law. With the help of protection, it is possible to identify and connect the content to the customer.
